Medaille Mavericks Athletics

Freshman Laura Kratzke (Alden, NY, Alden) was unbelievable for Medaille last week, going (3-0) while also earning a save. She finished the week with a (0.69) era, throwing one complete game shutout and three complete games in all. Against Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday she scattered (5) hits over nine innings for the win in game one. In Sunday's double header against La Roche she masterful; giving up one run in the first inning of game one then throwing (13) innings of shutout ball the rest of the way.

Jared McStine (Endicott, NY, Union-Endicott) was instrumental in the sweep of Penn State Altoona. He batted (.444; 4-9) with 2 walks and slugged (1.000). He had a double and his first career home run to start up the scoring in game one. He socked another double in the nightcap. In two games, McStine scored 7 runs, drove in four more, had three extra base hits and stole two bases. He also picked up the win on the mound in game two.
