Coach Pete Lonergan enters his seventh season as the Head Coach of the Lady Mavs. The team has achieved a (124-40) record under his tutelage, and had their sixth consecutive winning season. They reached the conference semifinals for the fifth straight season as well. Coach Lonergan has led the Lady Mavs to three AMCC Regular Season and Tournament Titles and has made three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Twice the Lady Mavs have advanced to the second round of that tournament. They are the only program in school history to have won an NCAA Tournament game. Coach Lonergan has been named the AMCC Coach of the Year twice and was named the 2007-2008 New York State Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Lonergan brings experience as a Division I Men’s Head Coach at St. Francis University and Niagara University, and has more than eight former Assistants or players currently coaching. The key to a good program is to have a strong staff, and Ron Stepien, Bill Agronin and Marisa Clark, will fill that role for the Women’s Program.
