Keith Koch enters his sixth season as the head coach of the Medaille College men’s volleyball team. In his first two seasons he took the Mavs to unprecedented heights, by leading them to the Molten National Final Four tournament in both seasons. In 2004 the team made it all the way to the National Championship game.
Koch started at outside hitter for two seasons at Medaille College, including the school’s inaugural season, participating in the North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) in 1999. The team finished that season by making an appearance in the finals of the NECVA tournament. Koch was named to the NECVA all-tournament team and ranked in the top 10 nationally in digs per game.
Koch began his coaching career at Cardinal O’Hara High School in Tonawanda as an assistant coach and eventually head coach of the girl’s volleyball team. During his tenure, the O’Hara volleyball team made two appearances in the state playoffs including a state championship. Koch has also held coaching positions with several AAU club volleyball teams.
Koch has earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Medaille College.
Keith and his wife, Christine, reside in Lancaster with their daughter Keira.
