2009-2010 Review:

The Medaille College Bowling team finished the 2009-2010 campaign with an (11-10) record against NCAA opponents. They participated in a full slate of tournaments throughout the Northeast and showed well in several.  They were led by seniors Laura Mauger (Clarence, NY/Clarence) and Becca Barton (Great Bend, PA/Susquehanna Valley)(pictured) who consistently posted high games for the Lady Mavs.

The Kutztown Invitational was the focal point of the season where they met up with a myriad of NCAA teams.  The Lady Mavs finished in the middle of the pack while competing against many Division I programs.

This the third straight year that Medaille has finished with a winning record in the programs very short history. They will return four bowlers from this seasons squad as they look to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament in 2011.

2009-10 Preview: The Lady Mav’s were ranked as high as 18th in the nation in 2009 and finished the season with a (15-7)  record.  It was the first time in school history that Medaille received an invitation to the National Sectional Tournament. The ladies did so against the likes of Division I and Division II competition. The team was led by  Becca Barton (Great Bend, PA/Susquehanna Valley) in average and recorded a program best game of (297).  The team will move under new leadership and make another attempt towards post season play. Returning to the team are Becca Barton, Laura Mauger (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence), Kate Kocalski (Buffalo, NY/St. Mary’s), Liz Wilson (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island), and Michelle Spencer (Depew, NY/Depew). New for the 09-10 season are Melissa Sandoval , Brooke Kress and Stacie Catteau.

2008-09 Season Review: The Medaille College women’s bowling team had a successful year in 2008-2009. They finished with a program best (15-7) record and were ranked as high as 17th nationally. Junior Becca Barton (Great Bend, PA/Susquehanna Valley), a transfer from Mohawk Valley CC, set a program record as she rolled a near perfect (297) in a win over SUNY-IT.  With their strong play the Lady Mavs qualified for the Sectional Post-season Tournament, which was another first in the programs history.  The Lady Mavs will look to add to their successes in 2009-2010 as they are shooting for a national title.
