The Medaille College women’s lacrosse team will enter its third year under the tutelage of head coach Sarah McCabe. Sarah comes to Medaille from Canisius College where she was an assistant coach. Her background also includes coaching stints at Sweet Home High School and in Gloucestershire, England. She was a standout player at Canisius College from (1999-2003) where she led the Golden Griffins from the goaltending position. Sarah spends her days as a Certified Athletic Trainer and working in the field child care.  She resides in Lancaster, NY with her husband Shawn. Back to top

 Coach Carbery will make his debut on the staff after leading the men’s lacrosse team for nine seasons.  He enters his tenth year as the Assistant Athletic Director at the College with his primary responsibilities being Sports Information, NCAA Compliance, and the coordinator of student-athlete academic services.  Coach Carbery was a standout goaltender at Division I, Canisius College, where he was a four year starter.  He was the Griffins MVP in his sophomore campaign and the Defensive Player of the Year in his senior year.  He finished in the top ten nationally for save percentage and saves per game throughout his collegiate career. Coach Carbery started the varsity lacrosse teams at Canisius High School and at Medaille College.  He was the 1999 Section VI (Western New York) high school coach of the year.  Coach Carbery resides in Amherst, NY with his wife Michelle and their two children Hannah and Aidan.
