Men’s Lacrosse Coach Bio
The men’s lacrosse team will be led by second year head coach Chaz Bulera who had served as the Mavs top assistant and offensive coordinator during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Coach Bulera brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Medaille lacrosse program. In his first year at the helm, Bulera guided the Mavs to unparalleled success as they set a program record with seven wins en route to an appearance in the NEAC Championship game.
Coach Bulera is a graduate of Grand Island high school and he played his collegiate lacrosse at St. Andrew’s (Division II). Coach Bulera has an extensive coaching background that includes a year long coaching stint in England and a seven year span with the Amherst H.S. (NY) lacrosse program. He works numerous camps throughout the year, both locally and nationally. He was a standout player throughout his high school and collegiate career and he continued his strong play in post-collegiate competition. The Mavs will look to Coach Bulera to improve on the five win season that the Mavs posted in 2008. Coach Bulera resides in Grand Island and is engaged to be married in September 2009.
