Mavs Drop One Point Thriller at Mt. Aloysius

The Medaille College men’s basketball team narrowly escaped against Mt. Aloysius when they played them at home in early January. They would not escape the Mounties this time as Mt. Aloysius upset the AMCC’s top team (65-64) in snowy Cresson, PA. The game featured nine ties and twelve lead changes but the Mounties would hang on for a huge AMCC victory. The Mavs struggled from the field as they knocked down just (33.3%) of their field goal attempts while Mt. Aloysius connected on (44.4%) of their shot attempts. The Mavs were led in the loss by senior Keith Hack (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay) who posted a team high (16) points while pulling down (5) rebounds. Senior Chris Moscato (Buffalo, NY/Canisius)(pictured) poured in (13) points on (5 of 7) shooting while dishing out (4) assists. The loss drops the Mavs to (20-2) overall and they suffer their second defeat in conference play as they are now (15-2) but still atop the AMCC standings. The Mavs will take a six day break before hosting Frostburg State on Saturday (2/13) for a 3:00pm conference tilt.
