Lady Mavs Prevail in Exhibition Action
The Medaille College women’s basketball team hosted Sheridan College of Ontario, Canada for an exhibition contest in the Sullivan Center this afternoon. It was a tale of two halves as the visitors from up North controlled the majority of the first half, holding a (37-34) advantage at the break, while the Lady Mavs barnstormed the Bruins in the second half en route to an (80-72) victory. The Lady Mavs received a strong performance from freshman Susanne Black (Houghton, NY/Fillmore)(pictured) who led the team with (14) points on (7 of 10) shooting while chipping in with (3) boards and (4) steals. The Lady Mavs shot (43.3%) from the field on the day as they prepare for their season opener on Tuesday (11/17) as they will host Buffalo State College for a 6:00pm tip-off.
