Women’s Soccer Cruises Past Pitt-Greensburg
The Medaille College women’s soccer team creeped above the .500 mark with a big (3-0) conference win at Pitt-Greensburg. On a dreary day in in Pittsburgh, PA the Lady Mavs held a (1-0) edge at the half on a goal from senior Laura Freeman (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West). The second half would see a Medaille surge as Cassie Elkins (Springville, NY/Springville-Griffith) pushed the lead to two with her tally. Junior Katie Bush (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) would bury a chance to make it a (3-0) game, she also posted an assist on the day. Freshman Lindsey Grana (Webster, NY/Webster-Schroeder) would wrap up the scoring with her marker. Junior Alexa Wisel (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) earned the victory between the posts as she stopped several Bobcat chances. The win moves the Lady Mavs to (8-7-2) overall and they improve to (6-2-1) in AMCC play. The Lady Mavs will wrap up regular season play on Tuesday (10/27) as they head to Pitt-Bradford for a 1:00pm conference tilt.
