The Medaille College women’s soccer team ran their winning streak  to three games as they blanked D’Youville College (3-0) on the road.  The Lady Mavs broke the scoreless tie as junior Chelsea Buzyniski (Appleton, NY/Newfane)(pictured) finished on a Katie Bush (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) offering at the (17:00) mark.  Medaille would carry that (1-0) lead into the half and then would breakthrough for two more in the second half.  Freshman Cassie Elkins (Springville, NY/Springville-Griffith) tallied an unassisted marker in the 53rd minute before Bush iced the game on a double assist from Elkins and Buzyniski in the 66th minute.  The Lady Mavs dominated throughout as they outshot the Spartans (49-4) on the day.  Preserving the shutout was junior Brittany DeBole (Rochester, NY/Northstar Academy) who stopped both shots that the Spartans put on frame.  The win moves them to (7-6-1) overall and they remain among the AMCC elite with a (5-1-0) conference mark.  The Lady Mavs will host La Roche College on Saturday (10/17) at 6:00pm as part of Family Weekend.
