Volleyball Continues Hot Start
The 2009 season has started out pretty special for the Medaille College women’s volleyball team. That trend continued this evening as they breezed past crosstown foe Hilbert College (3-0); (25-21, 25-13, 25-14). The Lady Mavs are off to the best start in program history as they now stand at (7-1) on the year. In this match the Mavs were led by Lauren Kirby (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West)(pictured) who tied for a match high (6) kills. Freshman Amanda Walsh (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) dug up nine balls and Andrea Reitz (Lake Shore, NY/Lake Shore) dished out (12) assists. The Lady Mavs will open up AMCC play on Saturday (9/19) as they will head to Mount Aloysius College for a 1:00pm match.
