Golf Places Second at Spartan Shootout
The Medaille College golf team took to the links for their second competitive round of the season as they participated in the Spartan Shootout hosted by D’Youville College at the Springville Country Club. The four team field consisted of Medaille, Erie Community College, Hilbert, and D’Youville. The Mavs finished in the second spot with a team score of (333) as ECC walked away with the win at (329). On a course that featured some difficult greens to read the Mavs shot higher scores than they are accustomed to as sophomore E.J. Kuebler (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North)(pictured) led the way with an (81) which was good for 2nd place overall. The top golfer finished with a (74). Sophomore Mark Jaccarino (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) finished in third with an (82). The Mavs will look to rebound as they head to Penn State-Altoona on Friday (9/18) at Iron Masters C.C..
