Let’s Get Ready to Rumble….

MSOC_Team_NCAAThe 2009-2010 Medaille College Athletic season starts with a bang as three teams open play on September 1st, all at home.  The women’s soccer team will get things started as they host Fredonia State at 5:00pm on the turf at All High Stadium.  The Lady Mavs are looking to improve upon their (7-2) AMCC record from 2008.  The women’s volleyball team will hit the court at 7:00pm as they host Alfred University with a completely reconstructed roster.  The night will end with the four time defending AMCC Regular Season Champion men’s soccer team at All High Stadium against Fredonia State.  That game will begin 25 minutes after the conclusion of the women’s game.  Keep up to date with all Medaille Athletic news at www.medaillesports.com.

AMCC Pre-Season Polls Released; Men’s Soccer #1

After winning their fourth consecutive regular season title, the men’s soccer program was named the pre-season favorite to repeat as AMCC champions. To add to the preseason accolades, senior, Gary Boughton (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) (pictured) was named as the pre-season Player of the Year.  Boughton is a three-time, first team all-conference selection.  The senior captain was also an NSCAA Regional All-American and Scholar All-American.  He led the NCAA Division III in assists per game in 2008, finishing with (20).  The captain is also three assists away from setting the NCAA Division III all time mark as he currently has (60) helpers to his credit. Medaille to Host Baseball Clinic

behnkeThe Medaille College Baseball team will host two great weekends of baseball instruction at McCarthy Park.  The dates of the clinics are September 12-13 and September 19-20 (September 26-27 will be rain dates).  The clinics will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm and will be broken down into four, one hour, sessions.  The sessions will cover the fundamentals of pitching, hitting, fielding, and catching.  All sessions will be instructed by the Medaille College Baseball Staff featuring head coach Paul Smaldone.  For more information regarding the clinics, and to sign up, click on this brochure or call (716) 880-2330.
