The Medaille College men’s volleyball team headed into their tri-match with SUNY-IT and Stevenson University on a three match win streak.  The Mavs faced SUNY-IT in the opening match and upended the host team (3-1); (27-30, 30-24, 30-26, 30-25).  In that win the Mavs were led by junior, Ryan Murdie (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore East)(pictured) who had a team high (18) kills, while freshman, setter, Doug Martin (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) had his best day as a collegian with (50) assists.  The Mavs then faced Stevenson University and fell in thrilling five set match (2-3); (30-26, 22-30, 25-30, 30-17, 12-15).  The split puts Medaille at (11-9) overall and they are (6-2) in NECVA Western Division play.  Next up for the Mavs is a home matchup with crosstown rival D’Youville College on Wednesday (3/4) at 7:00pm.
