September 3: Athletes of the Week
In a 2-2 week for the Lady Mavs, Michele Burgstahler (Junior – Women’s Volleyball – Wilson, NY) led the way with (36) kills, (5) aces, and (38) digs. For her strong play she was named to the All Tournament team at the Spartan Invitational hosted by D’Youville College.
The Mavs opened up the season against a pair of Top 25 opponents, falling to both in tough matches. On the defensive side of the ball the Mavs were anchored by Jacob Reisdorf (Senior – Men’s Soccer – Strykersville, NY) who played extremely well.
